THE 21st Food and Drinks Asia 2017 opened opportunities for people around the country who plan to start-up their own businesses.

There were 193 local exhibitors and 26 foreign exhibitors that presented their products of different forms--from food and beverages to electronic gadgets used to manufacture them.

The event allowed people who were looking for opportunities to start business talks with exhibitors and businessmen who were open for partnerships and franchising.

Industry experts worldwide also shared their own “secrets to success” that could potentially motivate the audience in seeking for more opportunities.

Semillano, who also sells tawilis, bangus and gourmet food, shared some tips to those who want to start their own businesses.

Saka po yung word of mouth,” she said.

She enticed the audience with her ‘Kalye Sardinas’ which, according to her, is easy to make but still has exceptional taste, during the HRCAP 7th Chef’s Culinary Showdown.

Chef Heidi Veriodica taught the technique of how to straighten shrimps while preparing her appetizer while the executive chef of Alta de Tagaytay, Chef Ainer Ebue, cooked his chosen cuisine, the squid and tarragon ceviche.

Food and Drinks Asia 2017 was held at the World Trade Center, Pasay City from September 7 to 10. It highlighted 3 events namely, HRCAP 7th Chef’s Culinary Showdown, Flair and Cocktail Championships 2017, and 6th Food & Drinks Asia Cooking Challenge. JUSTIN ROBERT VALENCIA and FRANCHESCA ELIJAH-MARI VIERNES
