Ateneo Blue Eagles remain immaculate, thrash FEU Tamaraws

Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles crushed the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws, 94-82, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) men’s basketball tournament on Sunday, September 17, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Ateneo started the game clicking on all cylinders with 34 points on the board, leaving FEU behind with only 22 points at the end of the 1st quarter.
The Katipunan-based squad then secured each period with at least 10-point lead, not letting the Morayta-based team to snatch the lead.
Ateneo sank 12 three pointers while FEU made 10.
Combo guard Thirdy Ravena led the Blue Eagles with a double-double of 18 points and 11 rebounds, while shooting guard Anton Asistio added three triples en route to nine of his 16 markers.
Wendell Comboy paced the Tamaraws with 12 points, all from behind the arc, while former Blue Eagle Arvin Tolentino contributed 11 markers.
The Blue Eagles remain undefeated in three games, while the Tamaraws fell to a 1-2 standing.
The FEU Tamaraws will set up first against the UST Growling Tigers on September 23, while the ADMU Blue Eagles will battle against the UE Red Warriors on September 24, both at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena.
