Sean Manganti's putback with one second left won the game for the Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons over the University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons, 73-71, in the UAAP Season 80 men's basketball tournament, on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

AdU's combo guard Jerrick Ahanmisi delivered a performance for the ages, pouring 17 of his season-high 21 points in the second quarter, where the Falcons outscored UP, 27-19.

Fighting Maroons stalwarts Jun Manzo, Paul Desiderio, and Jerson Prado were the only players who scored for UP in the fourth canto, scoring all 17 points.

Adamson's bench was a crucial part of the win, scoring 27 points against UP's 14.

Jerrick Ahanmisi paced the Soaring Falcons with 21 points on a very efficient 8/11 shooting from the field, while Papi Sarr added six markers and 16 caroms.

Paul Desiderio and Jun Manzo scored 19 apiece for the Fighting Maroons in a losing effort.

Adamson University improved to 4-2, while UP reeled to a 3-3 record.

AdU Soaring Falcons will next face the FEU Tamaraws on October 7 at the Mall of Asia arena, while the UP Fighting Maroons will try to bounce back against the NU Bulldogs on October 8 at the same venue.
