Falcons nip Tamaraws, gain fourth straight win

The Adamson University (ADU) Soaring Falcons snatched their fourth straight win after they blasted the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws, 95-79, in the UAAP Season 80 Men’s Basketball tournament on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena (MOA) in Pasay City.

The Falcons never lift their foot off the pedal right from the get go amassing a 21-point spread at the end of first half, 61-40.

They sank 10 out of their 21 three-point shot attempts and recorded 22 assists.

Guards Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jonathan Espeleta led the Falcons with 17 points apiece, while Papi Sarr followed with a double-double, 14 markers and 14 rebounds.

Point guard Jerie Pingoy delivered yet another remarkable performance with 10 dimes, the highest by a single player in this season. Pingoy also notched 10 points in the game.

Adamson is currently the third seed with a 5-2 slate, while FEU is at the fourth place with a 4-3 record.

2nd round schedule is yet to be announced.
