Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) Blue Eagles continued their unbeaten run as they beat the Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons, 71-59, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 80 men’s basketball tournament on Saturday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The Blue Eagles showed their strength on the defensive end, limiting the Soaring Falcons to season-lows of 59 points after the game and 24 points in the first half.
BJ Andrade’s triple gave Ateneo its biggest lead of the game, 71-50, but Adamson countered the Blue Eagles with 9-0 run to end the game.
The San Marcelino-based squad shot a woeful 1/18 from the three-point arc, and recorded just five dimes the whole game.
