Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons thrashed the National University (NU) Bulldogs, 90-77, in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) Season 80 Men's Basketball tournament on Sunday at the Mall of Asia arena.

The Bulldogs played catch-up game all throughout as the Falcons led them from the get-go ending the first half with a 22 point advantage, 57-35.

Falcons got their groove early in the game, exploding for 32 points while limiting NU to 12.

NU gave AdU a scare after they cut the margin to nine points with three minutes remaining in the game, 70-79.

The San Marcelino-based team shot 50% from rainbow arc, 13/26.

Jerrick Ahanmisi, Jonathan Espeleta, Papi Sarr and Robbie Manalang scored 60 of the 90 Falcons points.

Jayjay Alejandro and Rev Diputado had 32 markers combined for the Bulldogs. Issa Gaye, after exploding for 22 points in their last game, was limited to two points.

The Falcons stayed in solo third aiming with an 8-4 record. NU fell to 4-7, leaving their Final Four chances slim.

NU will gear up for their match against the DLSU Green Archers on Saturday, Nov. 4, while Adamson will next face the UP Fighting Maroons on Sunday, Nov. 5, both at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
